Found in the Mexican market. Sort of like a Lima with almond notes and a subtle garlic thing floating through the background. Quite nice. I Didn’t come up with anything super interesting or unconventional for them. I’ll keep trying.

Tasting beers tainted with off flavors. amyl acetate = runtz banana flavor. That weird artificial banana note will show up in some ales.

A few plates from the New Year’s eve menu at Victory 44.  I’m proud to have been a part of it.  The pictures are kinda grainy, but I was kinda busy making the food at the same time, so you’ll have to forgive me.  Unfortunately, there are no pictures of my friend Aj and I plating agnolotti out of a 20-inch rondeau, each of using one hand to hold the giant pan between us and spooning out little ravioli with the other.  Most fun I’ve had in a while.

I’m beginning to realize that recently I haven’t been using this tumblr to write stuff.  I’m not much for New Year’s resolutions, but that’s something that I ought to start doing again.
